Why are other pets in my pet's room, and how do I hide them?

They're your buddies' pets, visiting for the day. When you use Buddies on iOS or Android, each buddy who shares their pet with you and is part of something you're doing today brings it to your pet's card on Home. That includes a Plan you invited them to or accepted from them, a Follow-up you added them to, or a buddy's Follow-up you're joining. A buddy who declined doesn't bring theirs. Each buddy's pet visits once, however many things you share with them today, and it leaves when the day ends. Visitors sit behind your pet, so yours and your lamp always stay in front.
To find out whose pet it is:
Tap your own pet. Once its hearts float away, each visitor says who it's visiting with.
Long-press a visiting pet to see View Plan (or View Follow-up), View your buddy, and Hide their pet. In a big crowd, a pet that's hidden behind others can't be long-pressed; use the list below instead.
Tap your pet's card (anywhere except on your pet) to open its details. The Visiting Today row says how many pets are visiting and with whom. Tap it for the full list, then tap a pet to open that Plan or Follow-up, or long-press it for the same menu.
To hide visitors, open your pet's details and tap the settings button at the top right. Turn off Buddies' pets visit to hide them all, or turn off a single buddy. The same switch, Their pets visit mine, is under Your Pet in Buddies Settings, and for a single buddy on their page under Sharing & Alerts. Choosing Hide in a visiting pet's menu does the same for that buddy, and the message that appears has an Undo button. These choices only change what you see. Buddies aren't told, and they still see your pet if you share it. To stop sharing your own pet, turn off Pet in Buddies Settings.
