Notes
How do I format a note?
Tap the note in a visit, time entry, plan, or trip to open the note editor. The bar above the keyboard adds headings, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, bulleted and numbered lists, checklists, and links. Swipe the bar sideways to see every button; the button at its right end puts the keyboard away. Your note is kept with the visit, entry, plan, or trip when you tap Save or Add. Links show a preview card under the note, and you can tick off checklist items right where the note is shown. Service report comments and follow-up topics stay plain text.
How do I add photos to a note?
In the note editor, tap the photo button, then Take Photo or Choose Photos. A note holds up to 10 photos. To make one smaller or bigger, tap it while editing and drag a corner; it keeps that share of the note's width on every device. Photos are resized and saved on this device; tap one in a note to see it full screen or share it. With data protection mode on, visit notes can't hold photos, because a photo of someone's home is personal information about them. Photos reach your other devices only when Include photos is on in iCloud Sync (Google Drive Sync on Android); Cloud Sync doesn't carry photos yet. Backup files and contact shares leave them out. A Plan you invite buddies to shares its note's photos too, end-to-end encrypted; a buddy sees a placeholder until a photo finishes downloading, or while photo sharing is paused. Shared photos are deleted from WitnessWork's servers a month after the Plan, or right away when you remove them, delete the Plan, or stop sharing it.
Why is a photo missing from a note, or a note plain on another device?
A note says “This photo isn't on this device” when the photo hasn't reached this device: photo sync is off here or on the device that added it, or the photo is still uploading. Turn on Include photos in iCloud Sync (Google Drive Sync on Android) on both devices and open the app on the device that added the photo; the photo appears after the next sync. Cloud Sync doesn't carry photos yet, so on Cloud Sync a photo stays on the device that added it. Restoring a backup file doesn't bring photos back. A device with an older version of WitnessWork shows notes as plain text, without formatting or photos, and editing a note there replaces its formatting everywhere. Update WitnessWork on every device to keep it.
