Why are some contacts missing from the map?

The map shows your active contacts that have an address or a pin, and it uses the same filters as your Contacts list. Last-visit chips, Saved Views, and filters from Sort & Filter all apply to both, so a contact hidden from the list is hidden from the map too. The chips at the top of the map show what's on; tap All, tap the selected Saved View again, or open Sort & Filter (the sliders at the top) and tap Reset to see everyone. If the chips are tucked away after you move the map, tap the Contacts title to bring them back. The map's own search only narrows the pins further and doesn't change the list. A contact you create by dropping a pin stays on the map until you switch to the list, even if your filters would hide it. Dismissed contacts don't appear; find them under ••• → Dismissed Contacts. A contact without an address or pin can't appear either; open the contact and add an address or place its pin. A contact with an address but no pin yet, such as one from an import, appears once its address is looked up: when the map has any, tap Find contacts on the map at the top to look them all up, or tap X to hide it. This sends those addresses to the WitnessWork server, which looks them up with HERE, a mapping service, and doesn't keep them. An address that can't be found isn't offered again until you edit it; place that contact's pin by hand instead. In data protection mode, addresses are never looked up, so place pins by hand. A contact saved without an internet connection appears once you're back online with WitnessWork open; if it still doesn't, edit its address or place its pin. This works the same on iOS and Android, and filters are worked out on your device; they aren't shared. If a contact is still missing, check its address, then contact support from the Help Center and leave out names and addresses.
